Install Smarters on Your Device
Different stores, same app. Pick your platform:

Firestick / Fire TV
Smarters isn't always in Amazon's store, so use the standard Downloader method: enable unknown sources, install Downloader, enter the official Smarters URL (we send the current one with your login). Full walkthrough in the Firestick guide.

Samsung & LG Smart TVs
Search 'IPTV Smarters' in the Samsung App Store / LG Content Store and install directly — no workarounds. If your TV's store lacks it (regional rotation), the Smart TV guide lists the equally good alternatives.

Google Play → 'IPTV Smarters Pro' → install. On Android TV boxes you might prefer TiviMate for its EPG, but Smarters is the friendlier start.

Download from the official smarters site (whmcssmarters.com) — beware lookalike download portals. The desktop build mirrors the TV interface and is handy as a second screen.
Log In with Xtream Codes (2 Minutes)

Open Smarters → 'Add New User'
Choose 'Login with Xtream Codes API' — not M3U. Xtream login unlocks the richer EPG and the proper VOD/series sections.

Enter your three details
Any name you like, then the username, password and server URL exactly as they appear in your WhatsApp welcome message. Double-check for stray spaces — the #1 login failure.

Wait for the first sync
Smarters downloads channels, the VOD catalogue and the 7-day EPG — 30–90 seconds for +34,000 channels. Subsequent launches are instant.

Verify the essentials
Play a UK channel (instant start?), open the TV Guide tab (listings populated?), play a VOD title. All good → settings. Anything off → message the chat; it's usually a 60-second fix.
The 7 Settings Worth Changing
- Player engine → VLC or Exo (Settings → Player Selection): if a stream stutters on the default, switching engine fixes it more often than anything else. Try Exo first on Android-family devices.
- EPG time shift → 0 / auto (Settings → EPG): cures the 'guide is an hour out' complaint after BST/GMT changes.
- Stream format → default/auto: leave alone unless we advise otherwise — changing it blindly causes more problems than it solves.
- Parental controls (Settings → Parental): set the PIN, lock categories — two minutes that family households shouldn't skip.
- Hide unused categories (long-press → hide): trimming categories you'll never browse makes the EPG dramatically faster on older devices.
- Favourites (long-press any channel): your twelve real channels in one tab is the difference between IPTV feeling like cable and feeling like a spreadsheet.
- Auto-start on boot (Settings → General, TV devices): TV on → Smarters open → last channel playing. The spouse-acceptance feature.
Two honest Smarters notes: the free version shows a small startup ad (the paid unlock removes it — pay only via the app itself), and on huge playlists the EPG scrolls merely fine rather than buttery — if that bothers you on an Android box, TiviMate is the upgrade path. Same login works in both; nothing to rebuy.
Smarters Pro, Lite or Player — Which One Do You Want?
Three apps share the IPTV Smarters name and people install the wrong one constantly. They are not tiers of a paid product — they are separate builds with different histories.

"Pro" here is branding, not a paid tier — nobody should ever charge you for the app itself. If a seller wants money for Smarters, that is the seller telling you something about themselves.
Smarters Setup — FAQs
Is IPTV Smarters Pro free?
Yes — free on every platform, with a small startup ad; a one-off in-app purchase removes it. Smarters is a player only: it contains no channels. Content comes from your subscription's Xtream codes.
Xtream Codes or M3U — which login should I use?
Xtream Codes API, almost always — it enables the full EPG, VOD and series sections that M3U logins half-deliver. We send Xtream details by default; M3U is available on request for the few apps that need it.
Why does Smarters say 'invalid details'?
Ninety percent: a typo or trailing space in the URL/username/password (copy-paste beats typing). Nine percent: device clock set wrong (fix date/time settings). One percent: actual account issue — message us and we'll check in a minute.
My EPG is blank or showing the wrong programmes — how do I fix it?
Three causes, in order of likelihood. It has not finished syncing — a 34,000-channel guide takes a few minutes on first login, so leave it. The time zone is wrong — Settings → General → check the device is on UK time, because an EPG offset by an hour is almost always the device rather than the service. The cache is stale — clear the app cache (not data) and reopen. If all three fail, message us and we will re-issue the line.
What is the difference between IPTV Smarters Pro and Lite?
Lite is a cut-down build for low-powered hardware — fewer animations, lighter EPG handling, faster on an older Firestick or a Smart TV that struggles with Pro. Neither costs anything, and neither gives you different channels; they are the same window onto the same subscription. Start with Pro, and drop to Lite only if Pro feels sluggish on your device.
Smarters keeps buffering — is it the app?
Rarely. Try the player-engine switch (setting #1 above) first, then the buffering ladder: restart, Ethernet/Wi-Fi check, server line. The app is the messenger, not usually the problem.
Smarters vanished from my app store — what now?
Platform stores rotate IPTV players occasionally. Installed copies keep working. For fresh installs, use the official-site build (TV/desktop) or an equivalent player — the comparison has per-device alternatives, and the chat always knows the current best option.
